SINISTER: 'Altered Since Birth' Box Set Detailed

Poland's Metal Mind Productions will release an exclusive box containing the full discography of one of the best death metal bands around — Holland's SINISTER — on February 14 in Poland, February 21 in Europe and April 5 in the USA. Entitled "Altered Since Birth", the set contains eight studio albums, a live DVD, a compilation of demo tracks, plus a booklet containing a full biography based on an exclusive interview, the complete discography, lyrics to all songs and a selection of amazing archive photos. The cover artwork was created by the well-known Polish graphic designer Graal.

According to the label, "This Dutch band has been polluting the scene with its vile and marvelously brutal music for over 20 years, which easily makes them one of the most recognizable European extreme bands of all times. The group's impressive discography of nine LPs and one DVD is a testimony of undying devotion to brutal aggressive music. This collection captures the true essence of SINISTER, delivering 10 discs of powerful and mind-crushing death metal."

SINISTER recently announced the addition of bassist Joost van der Graaf (CYPHER, CREEPMIME) to the group's ranks. The band states, "We practiced now a couple of times together and it's going fucking amazing... The band is really happy with him and we cannot wait to show this to you by one of our live gigs."

SINISTER released its new album, "Legacy of Ashes", on December 17, 2010 via Massacre Records. The CD was recorded at Soundlodge studios in Rhauderfehn, Germany with producer Jörg Uken (GOD DETHRONED, OBSCENITY).

SINISTER's current lineup is rounded out by Aad Kloosterwaard (vocals),Alex Paul (guitar) and Edwin Van Den Eeden (drums).
